Dominique

Every priority below comes from conversations with parents, students, and educators across our community. This is what Dominique will fight for as your Trustee.
Mental health can significantly impact student’s day-to-day functioning, school performance and in some cases, school attendance. That is why Dominique is committed to lobbying the Provincial government for additional funding in order to ensure students have access to timely mental health supports.
As a Catholic community, we must embrace and champion diversity, recognise that inequity and inequality exists and ensure students feel they are a part of a school community that is both safe and inclusive. Students and families need to see a reflection of themselves in their schools as well as those representing them as their trustee.
Ensuring students with disabilities and diverse learning needs get the support they deserve.
Working to provide safe space for 2SLGBTQIA+ students and honour Indigenous history and perspectives.
As your Trustee, Dominique will...
1
Facilitate discussions and take action to eliminate anti-Black racism in education
3
Ensure accessible education for students with disabilities and diverse learning needs
5
Encourage Indigenous history and perspectives to continue to be taught
2
Promote Black youth success
4
Provide safe space for students who identify as 2SLGBTQIA+
Accountability and Accessibility
As your Trustee, Dominique endeavours to be available and accessible to parents, guardians, students, teachers/administrators and Catholic ratepayers. Creating and facilitating opportunities to engage with the Catholic Community is necessary in order to hear your concerns. Dominique firmly believes that you are your children’s most important advocate. Your input is valued and therefore should be consulted and considered when decisions are being made. In order for this to be possible, Dominique will create clear lines of communication between home, school and church.
Dominique will be visible, present and accountable to you.
